Vocational training and qualification are a proven tradition

The manufacture and sales of transformers demand a lot of technical understanding and specialist knowledge but also technical skill and practical experience. For nearly hundred years the companies of the SGB-SMIT group have been pushing vocational training forward for young people and have therefore been able to constantly ensure the continuance of qualified specialists. Many of our former apprentices help us today in highly responsible positions in production and technology or in a commercial sphere to manage the skills of our company.

In all the training positions offered we continually pay attention to the balance of theory and practice. To convey fundamental theoretical principles, which are followed up and reinforced through company learning modules, there must be extensive practical knowledge in the various company departments. Our training programme is rounded off with welcome and action days, exchange programmes with other companies, excursions and information trips. Equally interesting are our regular information days for parents and legal guardians.
