TYPE TESTS

Arcing fault tests

The protection of persons against arcing faults has our utmost attention. We thereby comply with the new IEC EN VDE 62271-202 regulation.

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) < 100 µTesla

Dielectric Consistency

Checks for proof of dielectric consistency in the connections between the high voltage switchgear and the transformer (Type testing in accordance with IEC EN DIN 62271-202).

Mechanical stress

Tests to prove the resistance of the housing against mechanical stress (Type testing in accordance with IEC EN DIN 62271-202).

Definition of the housing temperature rate

Tests in accordance with IEC EN VDE 62271-202 confirms that warming up of the transformer inside the housing does not exceed the values for the same transformer, measured outside the housing, by more than 15K.

Test occurs with the rated capacity of the station (here LCS-E with 630kVA , nominal current: 910A).

Connections between the medium voltage switchgear and the transformer are tested after completion with 50 kV, 60 seconds.

Considerable parts of the housing are tested with impact energy of 20 J, as shown and as described in IEC EN VDE 62271-202 Appendix C.
